Recorded live at the Molly's Bar Stage, WOMAD Festival, shortly after the release of their fourth album (and their first of entirely original material) DO YA HALLELUJAH? on Brighton label Freshly Squeezed. Here the 8-piece SWING NINJAS are captured in one of those rare and golden setting-sun moments in front of a warmly receptive audience at one of the UK’s best loved festivals. You can definitely feel the atmosphere in the sound!

Starting life as a busking trio, the band evolved (via three self-released albums of swing standards) into an original swing and old-school R'n'B outfit, who, as Blues and Soul magazine put it, are “one of those rare things, a vintage influenced band with contemporary relevance!” In this sense they rank alongside artists like Seasick Steve, Pokey LaFarge, C.W. Stoneking or The Dead South.

They have performed and sometimes headlined countless festivals from New Orleans to Istanbul via everywhere in between. We are very pleased and excited to offer their "Live At WOMAD" recording absolutely FREE - we all felt we wanted to share the joy, energy and musical spirit of this band at this moment... We hope you will enjoy the infectious charm of this recording as much as we did.
